So Arsenal, my favorite soccer team, has formed a partnership with the Colorado Rapids of the MLS.
Full details of it can be found here.
This should benefit Arsenal in the long run. They have a similar arrangement with Beveren, in the Belgian league, and they signed Emmanuel Eboue from there. They have also sent a lot of their young players out to Beveren for more seasoning and they came back all the better due to getting more experience. Arsenal also has a technical partnership with Celta Vigo of the Spanish League, which serves as a staging ground for South American players before they get to go Arsenal (a la Carlos Vela). Arsene Wenger, Arsenal's manager, loves the young talent and if this gets him access to the growing field that is the North American talent pool, even better.
