My friend the geek....

So a few months ago, my friend (who shall remain nameless unless he chooses to reveal himself) got a new tattoo on his leg.

It was of this:



Now, he will tell you: "It's the I Ching Hexagram 63 which translates to "With guidance comes control"."

Us who know better (and this includes him if he's comfortable enough with you) will tell you to not listen to the b.s. and that he got it not because of the Zen aspect of it, but because it's the Arashikage Clan tattoo - meaning it's the same tattoo that G.I. Joe characters Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have.

And now, my friend has gone even one better. Since he has decided, and I quote, that he has "given up on all romantic prospects", as a "sign of surrender" he will be getting a new tattoo in a few months. The design?


We, his fellow geeks, admire his courage and yes, we are even jealous.

I am still working on getting him to get the big white spider man-black costume logo from the comics on his chest:


If he ever does that, then I will consider my life a blazing success.
