Trailer: The Alvin And The Chipmunks Movie

So I wish I knew what to think about this.

Loved the show growing up. I remember watching it with my cousin Lorenz and our friend Mic-Mic and we'd sing along to the opening theme (Doo, doo, doo-doo-doo-doo. Doo, doo, doo-doo-doo-doo). And of course, as is always the case when we watched a show, we'd take one character and make it our own. Lorenz was Alvin, I was Simon and Mic was Theodore. Fun memories...

Now they have the movie coming up, with Jason Lee as Dave. I saw this trailer right before The Simpsons and I had fairly mixed feelings about it; I did not mind what I saw till the end when they had to resort to gross out humor. C'mon, that's not The Chipmunks way! Check it out for yourself:

But oh well. I guess these are Chipmunks for a new generation...
