Arsenal's 50 Greatest Players

Arsenal is currently revealing the results of their 50 Greatest Players poll on their website.

No surprises really. Always figured that Patrick Vieira was going to be #5, and Ian Wright was going to be #4. I also thought #1-3 would be some order of Tony Adams, Dennis Bergkamp and Theirry Henry - and my personal rankings would go #1 Henry, #2 Bergkamp and #3 Adams.

In fact, #3 was revealed today and indeed it was Adams, the greatest Arsenal captain of all time.

Bergkamp is one of my 3 favorite players of all time, and is probably the most skilled player of his generation; however, I don't think Henry can be denied. There was a 2 or 3 year period during Henry's Arsenal tenure when you could make the argument that he was the best player in the world, and that is enough to make him #1 I think.
