R.I.P. Estelle Getty

A bit late in posting this, but the sad news came out yesterday that Estelle Getty passed away.

Best known for her role as Sophia in The Golden Girls, Ms. Getty was 84.

The Golden Girls was one of the favorite shows of my sister's and mine growing up. Heck, last I checked, my sister was working towards completing her Golden Girls DVD collection. When I watch the re-runs of the show these days, I am amazed at the level of "adult" writing that show had - a level that was probably over the heads of Gin's and myself at certain points back then. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the show tremendously and I am sad to see Ms. Getty leave us.
