Federer must mean "Unstoppable" in Swiss

So no need for a mea culpa post from me, thanks to Roger Federer's straight set win over Fernando Gonzalez. Good grief, he did not lose a single set in the entire tournament, not done in a Grand Slam since the great Bjorn Borg did it in 1980.

As usual, the most enjoyable part for me was the post-match quotes by Roger. Yeah, he comes across as cocky, but when you're that good, you get a pass.

Some samplers:

Talking about how he was thinking of maybe going with a different strategy versus Gonzalez: "In the end I said, you know what, I've beaten him nine times, so just take it easy and play your game, and hopefully it is going to work out," he said. "It did."

About the French Open, where he basically said he'll be in the Final, it's just a matter of who he's playing against: "I am improving year by year on clay and maybe one year [Nadal] won't be in the final. If he is, maybe I can beat him."

People, we might be looking at the best there is, there was and ever will be in his sport. Enjoy it.

who could stop him? Maybe Bjorg, Sampras, McEnroe, Conners, Laver? Has there ever been anyone as dominant in any sport? He is Gretzky, Woods, Koufax and Bird all rolled into one

Only Nadal on clay comes even close...

sampras had agassi, bjorg, conners and mcenroe all had each other and lendl had edberd and wilander..

His contemporary might be Steffi Graf

I heard Roddick pitched a spin-off of The Knights of Prosperity to ABC where him, Nadal, Blake and Gonzalez conspire to kill Roger Federer and hilarity ensues when he keeps escaping his death.
