Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings: The Clark Brothers Collect

I have been remiss in not going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art as often as I could or should.

Last time I went I think was a year or two ago; typical New Yorker, I always think to myself: "Oh, it's there whenever I want to go."

Anyway, I think I finally found something that will make me go: this exhibit, which starts today. I really like Impressionism (A favorite memory of my trip to Paris ages ago was seeing Monet's giant Water Lillies at the Musee de L'Orangerie), and while I'm there, I could swing by and see the Rembrandts, Vermeers, Davids, etc. I love so much. Not to mention the other Monets, Manets, and Cezannes that are part of the Met's permanent collection.

Now I just have to drag my butt over there between now and August 19th.
