Back in Bioshock

So after a month long fiasco involving getting my 360 replaced thanks to the ol' Red Ring of Death, I finally got it back about 2, 3 weeks ago.

Yes, the PS3 is feeling a bit left out right now, except for some Warhawk and NHL 08 with TJC and Wetseel, but what can I say? I had unfinished business with the 360. Long story short, I am juggling about 3 different games on the 360 right now - one I was already playing before the Red Ring of Death, and two which I had pre-ordered and which arrived during the wait for the new system.

I try to play for an hour or two before going to bed as a "wind me down"/relaxation method, but sometimes the night owl in me just kicks in and next thing you know it's much, much later than I had already anticipated.

Anyway, the two which I had pre-ordered are Blue Dragon and the current king of the gaming world, Halo 3. As fun as those two games are, they're not taking the lion share's of the alloted "hour or two before bedtime"; Bioshock is.

Now, it's not that Blue Dragon isn't a good game (even though it breaks no new ground in the RPG universe); it is. Nor is it because Halo 3 is not living up to all the hype and anticipation (dammit, I hate the snipers that are all over the place!); it is. Bioshock is just one of those games where gameplay, storyline, graphics, atmosphere and music all just combine perfectly and make it the kind of game you want to keep on playing. Reminds me a lot of how I felt at age 10 or 11 and playing Legend of Zelda on the old NES. If you have a 360 or a PC, get Bioshock and you'll see what I mean.

Side note, did not realize Lea Salonga is a gamer as well; apparently she loves Bioshock just as much and maybe more.
