Oldboy

So Sean told me months ago that I should finally watch the Korean film Oldboy (DON'T click on the link if you have not seen the movie and plan to watch it).

I decided that sure, why not? So I got the DVD through Total Access back in July and it has been sitting next to my TV since then, unwatched. With no new TV shows airing now because of the strike, and my Total Access queue getting longer and longer as I have not returned a DVD to them in months, I figured tonight was a good time to watch it.

Oh, big mistake. Big, big, big, mistake. Don't get me wrong -- it was very good (in the 5 1/2 Nation range, bordering on 6), but I'm not gonna mince any words here:

Ladies and Gentlemen, THAT WAS ONE F*CKED UP MOVIE.

If you are not disturbed by the $hit that went on in that movie --- and I'm not even talking about the violence; the violence in that movie was overhyped I thought --- then you, my friend, are pretty stone cold.

Thanks Sean for the bad dreams I will be having tonight now.
