Going To The Dentist

So I went for my 6 month check-up and cleaning 2 weeks ago, and while there was nothing major I needed to worry about, I did have 2 cavities on my 2 upper wisdom teeth all the way in the back of my mouth.

I've been back to the dentist's office twice since then to have the cavities filled and everything is a-ok now till my next scheduled check-up and cleaning in February 2009.

Why am I writing about this mundane stuff? Well, it's just that everytime I go to the dentist (or to the doctor's office for that matter), I feel like I'm preparing for a date. Not because I find anybody at either office attractive and I am trying to impress her, that's not the reason at all. But just lying on that chair with your mouth open, everyone over you having a clear view up your nostrils... You don't want any "stray" stuff, know what I mean? So I make sure I floss and brush my teeth right before I go, the nostrils are clean, the nose hairs are trimmed, the shirt is clean, etc. Or when you go to the doctor's office and you have to be poked and prodded, you make sure your undershirt is clean and stainless, your clothes smell fresh, etc.

Silly, I know. But what can I say?
